Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, easily devise surveys with SurveyMonkey creating personalised on-brand surveys that people want to take.
|
You create an account which then gives you the option to start a survey from scratch or to use a template. It takes you through the stages to design and preview the survey before giving you several options to share the survey.
Following collection of data, you can then analyse and present results. |
There are quite a few limitations to the free version of SurveyMonkey including that you can only view a limited amount of survey responses (they don’t tell you the limit, but it’s rumoured to be 10). Responses will also be deleted 60 days after they were collected so it’s not ideal for surveying large samples of people.
There’s also a limit of 9 questions to your survey. |

Slido allows you to engage your participants with live polls, Q&A, quizzes and word clouds — whether they are with you face to face in your centre or you’re meeting virtually.
|
You create an account and it asks you about your organisation and how you’ll be using Slido.
From there you can either create a Slido from scratch or use a template. If creating from scratch it takes you through the steps starting with the date you’d like the poll to be live, and then what type of polls you’d like to create. Upon finishing it gives you the option to start the poll immediately or wait for the scheduled date. You can even test the poll yourself! You then give your audience the code that appears in your poll and they can vote via slido.com. |
There are limitations to the free plan including only having up to 200 participants and only 3 polls per event. You can download Slido into PowerPoint or Teams and other tools so that you can access it directly when presenting.
This is a great way to get live feedback at events rather than waiting for people to return feedback forms. |

Google Forms allows you to easily create and share online forms and surveys, and analyse responses in real time.
Forms can be created and responded to on any mobile device, tablet or laptop. |
You will need to set up a Google account before you can access forms. From here you can select to create a survey from scratch (blank) or use a template.
You can then create your survey selecting from multiple question types, dragging-and-dropping to reorder questions, and customising values easily. Once complete a link for your form will be created which can be shared via email, added to your website or on social media. See charts with response data update in real-time. Or open the raw data with Google Sheets for deeper analysis or automation. |
With Google forms you can customise colours, images, and fonts to adjust the look and feel or reflect your organisation’s branding.
You can also add question routing or custom logic that shows questions based on answers, for a more seamless experience. There are no limits to the amounts of responses for surveys with Google forms. |
